Aladdin’s Cave Toy Ambassador Competition – Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

• The competition is open to children aged 6–12 years old.
• Entrants must be resident in Guernsey.
• All entries must be submitted with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to complete the official entry form.

2. Entry requirements

• Entrants must submit a video review of their favourite toy. Videos must:
  • Be between 30–60 seconds in length.
  • Be uploaded to YouTube (public or unlisted) or another suitable platform.
  • Be submitted using the official online entry form on the Aladdin’s Cave website.
• One entry per child. Group entries or duplicate submissions will not be accepted.

3. Entry period

• The competition opens 11 July 2025 and closes on 8 August 2025.
• Late entries will not be considered.

4. Shortlisting & public voting

• A shortlist of 10 finalists (could change depending on the number of entries) will be selected by the Aladdin’s Cave team based on creativity, enthusiasm, clarity and presentation.
• Public voting will take place in August 2025 to help determine the winner.
• The winner will be announced at an in-store event at the end of August.

5. Prize & role

• One winner will be selected to become the official Aladdin’s Cave Toy Ambassador.
• The role includes:
  • One free toy per month (from a pre-selected category, with a set value cap)
  • Creation of one video review per month
  • Appearances in Aladdin’s Cave’s in-store screens, social media, emails and promotional materials
  • Hosting or supporting in-store toy events and seasonal campaigns
  • Receiving branded merchandise including a Toy Ambassador t-shirt and badge
• Two runners-up will also be selected to receive a small prize (e.g. toy voucher or gift).

6. Commitment

• The ambassador must commit to the role for a minimum of 3 months, with the option to continue for up to 12 months, based on the agreement and mutual satisfaction of both parties (Aladdin’s Cave and the ambassador’s family).
• A Toy Ambassador Agreement will be issued and signed by the parent or guardian outlining expectations, including:
  • Timely submission of monthly review videos
  • Participation in scheduled events or promotions
  • Maintaining a positive and enthusiastic presence

7. Withdrawal & replacement

• If the ambassador is unable to fulfil their role:
  • Aladdin’s Cave will first offer support and flexibility
  • If necessary, the role may be offered to a runner-up

8. Use of content

• By entering the competition, you grant Aladdin’s Cave permission to use the submitted video and all future content created by the ambassador for marketing and promotional purposes, including:
  • In-store displays
  • Website content
  • Social media (e.g. Facebook, YouTube)
  • Email newsletters and printed materials
• All content will be used respectfully and in line with child protection guidance.

9. Data protection

• Personal data collected through this competition will be used solely for administering the programme and will not be shared with third parties.

10. General

• Aladdin’s Cave reserves the right to amend these terms or cancel the competition at any time if necessary.
• No cash alternatives to the prize will be offered.
• Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
